Today marks the dawn of the new year, and along with it comes new opportunities for improvements in my art. In 2013, I focused a lot on close-up portraits as well as stylistic line weight and color, but for 2014, I'm going to do a lot of figurative work as well as incorporate texture into my pieces. In terms of film, I hope to tell better stories - ones that aren't as overly dramatic, nor too simplistic. This summer has been the most influential summer of my life. Not only did I meet a very close friend, but I also have let some of my past to rest. Things I have said, and actions that were never made right, and won't be. But that doesn't mean that I cannot move on. We, as souls, are also lights. This is one thing I have learned this summer. It is only within ourselves that we can ignite the soft flame, so it can glow for us to lead the path, step by step.
